One of my favourite agile thinkers recently wrote about Real Options without mentioning them.
To me, talking about real options is not a revolution, or totally new insight, but it gives me a word to use for the practise of postponing decisions until the last responsible moment. I did a talk on real options last week, and I notice how I use the words “how can we create options here” more and more – even while talking to my wife.
